Antinori Peppoli, 750ml, Chianti, Italy, 2018

In a departure from traditional Chianti, Peppoli blends Sangiovese, Merlot and Syrah. Aged in oak barrels for a maximum of nine months, followed by a further maturing period in the bottle. Complexity and structure of a well-aged riserva with the fruity fragance of a young wine. The taste is characterized by notes of cherry fruit with chocolate and vanilla. On the palate , the wine shows its Sangiovese character with softs tannins and good persistence on the finish. Designed to be enjoyed right away, when the fruit is at its most expressive.
