The Vineyard: Arpaise

Viticulture and winemaking are reasons for knowledge and experimentation, in this regard Petilia enjoys growing small batches of native grapes on extreme soils, an example is the half hectare of Falanghina doc Irpinia planted on lapillus and pumice stone in Altavilla alla cda Carbocisi, or the Sannio DOC in Arpaise for about two hectares.

Viticulture: Espalier with guyot pruning

Plant density: 4000 plants per hectare

Vineyard age: About 5 years

Yield per hectare: About 80 quintals

Harvesting period: Last week of October

Vinification technique: Ultra-soft pressing of whole grapes and fermentation in steel tanks at a controlled temperature

Age: In the bottle for three – four weeks

Tasting notes

Color: Straw yellow with light golden reflections

Bouquet: Fresh and fruity, olfactory sensations of citrus, white flowers, and fresh fruit

Taste: The same notes expressed on the nose are repeated on the palate

Serving temperature: 10 – 12°C.
