The Estate

Located in the north, near the prestigious Montosoli area, these vineyards are exposed to the south-east and rest on a soil rich in skeleton, composed mainly of galestro, albarese and tuff. Thanks to the continental microclimate and the qualities of the soil, the wines produced here exhibit elegance and good balance, with lively acidity, structure and a pleasant fuity note. The heart of the property, the Pinino vineyards boast historic plants, one and half hectare dating back to 1980, one hectare planted in 2000 and another in 2014. In total, the surface area covers 3.5 hectares.

The Wine

Pinino's Brunello embodies the production philosophy, the values linked to the typicality of the territory, the experience and passion in the vineyard and in the cellar; a careful blend of grapes from the two soil and climate zones where the vineyards are located; Pinino, rich in skeleton, with precense of galestro and albarese, and, Canchi, almost purely clay with precense of lime.

  • Vintage Caractheristics:

2020 : After a winter with below average temperatures, the spring was quite warm and with normal rainfal. June was quite rainy compared to the average for the period, but the weather conditions allowed for regular development of the vine and harmonious growth of the grapes. The rest of the summer, however, was quite dry. In September, the excursions between day and night favored the synthesis of noble substances inside and outside the berry. Rainfall was significant leading to a fairly late harvest, which gave grapes with a perfect balance between technological and phenolic ripeness, with an important aromatic component.
